If you buy a new computer with Vista pre-installed, depending on the manufacturer, you may get a free upgrade to the same version for Windows 7.  That is, if you buy a new computer with Vista 32 Home Premium, you may get a free upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.

If you purchase a copy of Vista, upgrade or full, after June 26, you can upgrade it to Windows 7 for $9.99.

You can purchase Windows 7 from Amazon, Best Buy, Microsoft’s Online Store or any number of retail outlets beginning October 28, 2009.
